What Does the Bible Say About Loneliness?

God Knows Loneliness
Jesus Himself experienced profound loneliness. In Gethsemane, His closest friends fell asleep when He needed them most. On the cross, He cried out, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" (Matthew 27:46).
God doesn't observe your loneliness from a distance. He has lived it.
Key Scriptures on Loneliness
Deuteronomy 31:6 — "The Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."
Psalm 68:6 — "God sets the lonely in families." This is God's design — you were made for community.
Psalm 139:7-10 — "Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?" There is no place so isolated that God isn't already there.
Isaiah 43:2 — "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you." Not if — when. And not watching — with.
